The budget airline, Vietjet Air welcomed back customers on its flight between Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam and Phuket, a renowned tourist destination in Thailand, on June 3.
The airline, the first in Vietnam to resume flights between the two cities, will run four two-hour round-trips on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Earlier, Vietjet restarted flights from HCM City, Hanoi, and Da Nang to Bangkok, the Thai capital. The airline has the most routes between Vietnam and Thailand at present.
Since the start of 2022, Vietjet has pioneered the reopening of routes connecting Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang with the Republic of Korea (RoK), as well as routes to destinations in Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and India, thereby facilitating the travel of not only tourists but also businesspeople and investors, thereby contributing to the country's economic growth.
