Speaking about the new route, Satit Dumrerng, Thai Airways general manager for Bangladesh said:
Now your network connection is easier than ever via Bangkok from Bangladesh double daily Dhaka-Bangkok vice versa and three days a week Chittagong-Bangkok vice versa. In view of establishing new service in the Chittagong market, Thai Smile Airways requires to attract new travellers in addition to ensuring the maximum shares from existing market. So, we will ensure compelling product for the successful outcome of the operation.
Satit continued:
This will work as the strategy needed to swipe off others for ensuring our long-term existence. Due to our continuous focus on increasing network sale, we made our network fares as competitive as possible to create the trend of market towards Thai Airways International for network destinations.
He also added:
The reasonably fixed promotional fare for inaugural flight starts from US320 for Bangkok round trip on Economy Class. With this fare passenger can fly from Chittagong and inbound could be either or Chittagong - there is no restriction. This marketing strategy passenger can experience how convenient and flexible offered only from Thai Airways and Thai Smile.
Finally, THAI GM, Bangladesh finished by saying:
Royal Orchid Plus members can earn miles on both Thai Smile Airways operated flights (WE and three digit flight numbers) and Thai Airways International marketing flights (TG and four digit flight numbers). Miles earned with Thai Smile Airways are also Qualifying Miles that determine Royal Orchid Plus membership status.
