First THAI A350-XWB Rolls Out from Toulouse Assembly Line

The first of the 12 Airbus A350 XWB aircraft that THAI has ordered from the French manufacturer has rolled out of the Toulouse assembly line in France, having completed the engine installation and cabin furnishing process there.

Before the A350-900 is delivered to Thai Airways, later in 2016, the aircraft will be sent for flight and ground testing.

According to Airbus, the A350 XWB is the latest generation aircraft and the new member of the company’s wide-body product line.

The aircraft is touted for its lower fuel burn and emissions, lower maintenance costs and operational efficiency. This is largely thanks to its Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines, carbon-fibre wings and fuselage and aerodynamic design.
