According to a survey by AirHelp, Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok is one of the worst in the world. Based on the quality of service, terminal comfort, passenger facilities, security and check-in, customers ranked Suvarnabhumi as 9th worst in the world.
The worst airport in the world, per customers of AirHelp, is Kuwait airport. What’s interesting is that four UK airports found their place on this list (London Gatwick, Manchester, Stansted and Edinburgh).
Here are the 10 worst airports in the world, according to the survey and their rankings:
On the other side, Singapore Changi was named “the best airport in the world”, followed by Munich in Germany and Hong Kong.

It’s important – now more so than ever – that passenger service is a top priority of both airlines and airports, ensuring they receive the experience they deserve, so it’s fantastic to see that Singapore is setting the standard for customer-first service. This research should hopefully give airlines and airports across the world, particularly in the UK, a nudge to improve their quality and punctuality urgently before the travel rush starts this summer.
The survey also asked customers to rank the best and worst airlines. Singapore Airlines was ranked as the best and Bulgaria Air as the worst. When it comes to Thai carriers, none of them ranked in the top 10 for best or for worst airline. Thai Airways placed 57th among 87 airlines covered in the survey.
