Thai Lion Air to restart its direct Bangkok-Taipei service

On December 17, the budget carrier Thai Lion Air will restart direct service between Bangkok and Taiwan's Taipei. One-way tickets begin at 2,950 baht.

Flight SL396 will leave Bangkok's Don Mueang International Airport at 8.35pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays and arrive in Taipei at 1.25am the following morning.

At 2.35am on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, Flight SL397 will leave Taipei's Taoyuan International Airport and arrive in Bangkok at 5.35am. The duration of the flight is around three hours.

The travel time is roughly three hours and fifty minutes.

On the Thai Lion Air website, one-way tickets will go on sale today at a reduced price of 2,950 baht. The pricing includes a substantial luggage allowance of 20 kilos for checked bags and seven kilogrammes for carry-ons.

Those wishing to reschedule their flight date will be charged a rebooking fee of 750 Thai Baht.

Thai Vietjet Air, Thai Airlines, China Airlines, Tigerair, Thai Smile, and Starlux are among the other carriers that serve the route.

Taiwan will replace its mandated three-day hotel quarantine with a "self-initiated seven-day epidemic prevention period" tomorrow. All arrivals older than 2 years will be given four ATK tests.
