Nok Air is set to launch its Bangkok-Krabi service on January next year.

The Bangkok-Krabi route will be provided with two daily flights, on the first day of 2014, using a Boeing 737-800 aircraft capable of handling 189 passengers. The reason for adding Krabi in the airline's list of destinations is the fact that it is becoming increasingly popular with tourists.

Krabi is still nothing compared to Phuket in terms of being a tourist attraction. However, because of the crowding at the Phuket International Airport, and the long drive after landing, Krabi has been suggested to be a good alternative destination.

The first Bangkok-Krabi daily flight will take off at 10:10 and land at 11:30, while the second will leave at 17:15 and arrive at 18:30. The first and second return flights, on the other hand, are scheduled to depart at 12:00 and 19:00, and arrive at 13:20 and 20:20, respectively.

At present, Nok Air serves 23 local and 2 regional destinations (Penang and Vientiane). Last September 1st, the Mae Sot-Mawlamyine service was introduced, which was followed by another new service, Mae Sot-Yangon, a month later. This November, the Don Mueang-Yangon service will commence.
