According to the The Airports of Thailand (AoT) the number international and domestic flights at Suvarnabhumi Airport has increased for the Thai New year (Songkran). The total number of flights between April 9-18 are expected to reach 622, with 85% operated by international airlines.
For domestic airlines, Thai Airways will add 20 more flights during the festival.
The AoT predicted that the number of passengers at Suvarnabhumi is also going to increase from around 100,000 people to 140,000 per day. Immigration officers at the airport will be required to better manage the visa process at the airport.
