Thai AirAsia’s Indian customers will be able to take advantage of the Fly Thru service when traveling beyond Don Muang International Airport in Bangkok to more than 35 destinations in Thailand, including Phuket, Surat Thani, Hat Yai and Krabi, as well as to other countries or cities, including Singapore and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.

Thai AirAsia Believes the Route will be Accepted Quickly

TAA expects the new route to kick off quickly, considering the airline was well received in India in the past. In addition, the new route should also help current Indian routes activate high demand. According to Thai AirAsia, Bangkok-Kochi was well received since its launch in May, while Bangkok-Bengaluru and Bangkok Chennai maintained an average load factor between them of 83% in this year.

Thai AirAsia already operates four routes from Thailand to India. Three of those go south to cities of Bengaluru, Chennai and Kochi and one, while Kolkata is the first eastern Indian city that TAA will serve.

At the present, Thai AirAsia serves Bangkok-Bengaluru and Bangkok-Chennai 5 times per week each, while the carrier flies daily (7 times per week) between Bangkok and Kochi.
