Cambodia Airways begins twice-weekly flights from Phnom Penh to Samui.

Tourists and investors are happy about the new Tuesday and Friday flights, which are run by an Airbus A319.
Cambodia Airways now offers direct flights between Phnom Penh and Samui on Tuesdays and Fridays.
The new route between Phnom Penh and Samui is operated by an Airbus A319 with roughly 150 seats. Flight KR723 leaves Phnom Penh at 8.30am and arrives in Samui at 9.40am, whilst Flight KR724 leaves Samui at 10.40am and arrives in Phnom Penh at 11.50am.
On Friday, May 20, 2022, representatives from the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Koh Samui Municipality Tourism Council of Surat Thani Province, Koh Samui Tourism Promotion Association, Southern Thai Hotels Association, East Coast Samui Spa Association, and Samui Airport were present at Samui Airport to personally welcome fifty passengers on Cambodia Airways' inaugural Phnom Penh-Samui flight. On the inaugural trip, executives from Cambodia Airways accompanied passengers.
Mrs. Supakan Yodchun, director of the TAT Ko Samui office, stated, "The opening of this new route between Thailand and Cambodia will benefit both tourists and investors." It will stimulate the economies of Ko Samui, Ko Pha-ngan, and Ko Tao, which have plenty to offer in terms of amazing beaches and sea, and provide tourists and expats with an easy method to combine these attractions with Cambodia's art, culture, and historic temples."
