On June 20, AirAsia Thailand will begin flying from Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport to Kuala Lumpur (KUL), Malaysia, becoming the first low-cost carrier (LCC) to do so from Bangkok's two international airports.
Travelers flying from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok can now select between flights landing at Don Mueang International Airport (DMK) or Suvarnabhumi International Airport (BKK).
Flights between Kuala Lumpur and Suvarnabhumi (BKK) will be available twice daily.
At the moment, the airline operates three domestic routes from Suvarnabhumi, flying to Chiang Mai, Phuket, and Krabi, said AirAsia Thailand CEO Santisuk Klongchaiya. "From June onwards, we will be operating our first international route with Suvarnabhumi-Kuala Lumpur."
Travelers between Thailand and Malaysia who are fully vaccinated are no longer required to submit a COVID-19 test result or undergo quarantine.
From June 1, 2022, Thai nationals will no longer be required to have a Thailand Pass to enter the country.
