Ticket counters at the Suvarnabhumi Airport may soon find a new home when the plans of their relocation will push through.
The Airports of Thailand (AoT), the government agency who manages the country's national airports, is planning to clear the present location occupied by the ticket vendors to allow more space at the departure hall located at the 4th floor of the terminal building.
The ticket counters will be allocated ample space at the 6th level of the same building. As a result, the departure area will increase by 900 square meters which will give departing passengers more space to move around.
The new location for the ticket counters at the 6th floor is currently occupied by CAT Telecom, which will also move out soon.
AoT is hoping that relocation will be completed before the year ends.
