The Thai flag carrier has finally moved into its new home at London Heathrow Airport's Terminal 2, the posh and the newest terminal facility of the airport.
Wit Kitchathorn, the general manager of Thai Airways International United Kingdom, was quite ecstatic about the move of the airline's base of operations to the new terminal, which was designated for the exclusive use of all member airlines of Star Alliance.
During its inaugural operations at the new terminal, Thai Airways passengers were presented by the ground staff with a fresh orchid corsage and commemorative key each much to their surprise. To make the event more memorable, being a historic milestone, the airline management presented a traditional Thai performance of dance and music to create a more festive atmosphere, much to the delight of their customers.
Similarly, London-bound passengers were likewise presented with the same mementos by a group of Beefeaters and Guardsmen as they disembarked from the inaugural flight into Heathrow Airport's T2. First and business class passengers will enjoy the world-class United Club and United Global Lounge at the Terminal 2.
