Thai people could possibly be the next tourists into space to fly on a space shuttle. The possibility is not remote after the world renowned Space Expedition Corporation (SXC) reached agreement with Bangkok-based Khiri Voyages to handle bookings for space travel which is a unique opportunity for anyone who wish to see the void.
Space Expedition Corporation (SXC) is a company specializing in space tourism across the world. The company held its media launch on July 8th in Hong Kong to drumbeat its foray into space tourism for prospective Asian customers.
The company has offered a special rate of Bt.4.2 million to its Thai customers. The price is for two people which already includes an extensive training mission to the Netherlands, the actual journey into space, business-class airfare from Bangkok to either Curacao or the US, transfers and deluxe hotel accommodation. The trip into the void will start at either Spaceports in Curacao or Mojave Desert in California. The customers can freely choose where to start their space journey.
According to SXC, the government no longer holds the monopoly in space travel. The company has opened the possibility for any individual or organization the opportunity to travel into space.
The company has a special arrangement with its Thai authorized partners, Khiri Voyages, to give Thais the opportunity to travel into space with its introductory price specially tailored for them. It even set up its own Thai-language website, www.spacevoyages.asia, to cater to Thai customers who want to book a space flight.
After a flight is booked, the passengers will be flown to Netherlands to undergo an extensive but fun training. The training starts with a flight via L39 Albatross jet and aboard the Desdemona simulator which mimics the spaceship, generating G-force of up to 3.3G.
