Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific and Tigerair Philippines remain undaunted by the ongoing political crisis that engulfed the Thai capital since October of last year.
Representatives from the three airlines have reassured their respective clients that all flights to and from Thailand stay normal despite the country's political drama that has been going on for more than 6 months already.
Thailand's military rule took effect soon after the Thai military staged a coup in the hopes of preventing the country to plunge further into a political nightmare.
According to a Cebu Pacific spokesperson, their flights to and from Thailand remain unchanged. She assured that all flights operate as scheduled as long as the airports in Thailand remain open. Cebu Pacific fly to both Bangkok and Phuket from Manila and Cebu.
The airline spokesperson added that outbound passengers especially those passing through Bangkok are advised to make adjustments to their schedule going to the airport due to the martial law, as there may be check points along the way, detour, and even road closures in some parts of the capital. He assured, however, that they will keep their customers posted as necessary.
Moreover, as a kind consideration to its passengers with booked tickets to and from Thailand, they allow flight cancellation with full refund for as long as they are booked for travel between May 22 and June 5. Passengers are allowed as well to rebook flights without additional charge within 30 days of the original departure date.
The Philippine Airlines also assured their passengers that all flights between Bangkok and Manila remain unchanged. The airline operates twice-daily return flights, PR730/731 and PR736/PR737, between the two capitals. For as long as the Suvarnabhumi Airport continues its normal operations, the airline said that they will also keep their regular operations.
The Tigerair Philippines, meanwhile, similarly issued advisory to their passengers that nothing has changed with their flight schedule between Clark and Bangkok despite the ongoing political crisis. They will also allow flight cancellations with full refunds if their passengers deem necessary. They will also permit re-booking of flights for travel between May 23 and June 5.
