THAILAND is set to benefit from a new another airline company; the Thai - Korean joint venture Crystal Thai Airlines (CTA) plans to begin flying Bangkok to Incheon and Bangkok to Muan on February 3.

Both routes are scheduled for twice-weekly flights on a 174 seat Airbus A320's. All seats will be economy class.

Crystal Thai Airlines has plans to schedule a longer-range A330-200 in March for flights between Phuket and Incheon. A second of the smaller A320's is also being organized in order to run services to Mumbai, Cochin, Clark, Colombo, Thimphu and Dubai.

CTA has impressive plans. They aim to be the country's third-largest airline after Thai Airways International and Bangkok Airways. They were established last year with a start-up capital of 201 million baht (US$6.5 million).
