Starting October 26, Bangkok Airways' 2014 winter schedule will take effect, offering more convenient connections between its Chiang Mai hub and selected key destinations in Thailand and across the border with Myanmar.
From its Chiang Mai hub, Bangkok Airways has drawn a new schedule for routes to Mandalay and Yangon in Myanmar, as well as Phuket and Udon Thani in Thailand.
For the Chiang Mai-Mandalay route, flight PG 725 will depart Chiang Mai at 1100 hours to arrive in Mandalay over two hours later, at 1205 hours. Return flight PG 722 will leave Mandalay at 1250 hours to land in Chiang Mai at 1445 hours. This route will be a thrice weekly service, departing every Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
For the Chiang Mai-Yangon sector, flight PG 723 will take off at 1100 hours, to arrive in Yangon at 1155 hours. The return flight PG 724 will leave at 1250 hours to get back in Chiang Mai at 1445 hours. Flights depart every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.
The twice daily Chiang Mai-Udon Thani service will leave every morning and afternoon. The morning flight PG 240 will depart at 0630 hours, and arrive in Udon Thani at 0755 hours. Return flight PG 249 will take off at 0825 hours and back in Chiang Mai at 0950 hours.
The afternoon flight PG 246, meanwhile, will be leaving Chiang Mai at 1555 hours to land in Udon Thani at 1720 hours. The return flight PG 245 will leave at 1755 hours and arrive back in Chiang Mai at 1920 hours.
The Chiang Mai-Phuket service, on the other hand, will be a once-daily affair with flight PG 248 leaving Chiang Mai at 1420 hours to land in Phuket at 1625 hours. The return flight PG 247 will depart Phuket at 1130 hours to be back in Chiang Mai at 1340 hours.
The departure and landing time for all flights are in local hours. Bangkok Airways will be using a fleet of turboprops on all routes except for its Chiang Mai-Phuket flights which will be serviced by an Airbus 320 jet.
