AirAsia has added another feather in its cap after Euromoney named it as 'Best Managed Company' in Asia for the Airline and Aviation category in the magazine's annual poll.
The award is AirAsia's second in a row when it also got the same honor in last year's edition.
The airline prides itself as the regional leader in the industry with seven local subsidiaries in six countries and a combined network 88 destinations.
The recent award is a testament to the airline's excellent corporate foresight as it focus on the integration and expansion of its footprint across the region.
The results of the annual poll were based on the replies received from leading equity analysts at the premier investment banks and research entities across the Asia-Pacific region. This year's survey saw a total of 214 nominations.
A total of 93 equity analysts participated in this year's annual poll.
The survey's aim was to find out which nominated companies were most impressive as gauged by a number of factors which included accounting transparency, corporate governance procedures and management accessibility, etc.
AirAsia was highly praised for its transparent communication, good governance as well as clear articulation of strategy, the magazine said.

The 2014 survey is the 15th edition of the annual poll for Best Managed and Governed Companies in Asia by Euromoney. The annual ranking is said to be the benchmark survey of the opinions of the region's equity analysts.
Euromoney is a leading English-language business magazine based in London with a global circulation of more than 25,000. It has been published every month since it was established in 1969.
