There have been countless reports involving unruly or ill-mannered passengers making a scene 32,000 feet above the ground.
The most recent incidence involved a female passenger on board a Thai AirAsia flight from Bangkok to Nanjing, China.
The hot-tempered passenger allegedly blew her top when she didn't find the plane's service at par to her standard. She reportedly asked for a hot water on a cup from the female flight attendant, but without hesitation, she poured it over to the hapless attendant.
The incident instantly became a hot topic on social media the following day.
There have been several reports in the past about Chinese tourists who have figured in various offenses against the host country, most famous of which was the defacing one of the world's most ancient cultural icon' a temple in Luxur, Egypt.
In the recent FD9101 flight, the female passenger got irked when she wasn't satisfied with the in-flight service, while his male companion threw insults at the cabin crew.
One video leaked online showed a male passenger, who appeared to be speaking in Mandarin language, hurling invective at the cabin crew. Also heard on the same video were audible voices, also in Mandarin, remarking the man's unsavory behavior.
The captain had to steer the plane back to Bangkok immediately afterwards to unload the subject and her three companions. As soon as the plane landed, airport police at the Don Mueang International Airport escorted the tourists out of the plane and were brought to the police station for interrogation. Thai AirAsia officials didn't say if the tourists were charged.
China's rapidly growing economic prosperity has afforded a huge number of its citizens to accumulate wealth enabling them to enjoy life at its best. Today, they are some of the fastest growing travelers in the world who make frequent trips outside their own country.
Their notoriety as a tourist has prompted their own government to draw up a list of Do's and Don'ts when traveling abroad. Funny as it may seem, but they are warned not to steal the life vest stuck underneath the seats, among other things.
It might update its list to include 'Don't throw hot water on a flight attendant'.
