The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and the Thai Airlines Association have come up with a unique promotion for this peak season to encourage domestic tourism and boost the economy. Under the programme "Discounts All Over the Sky, Fly All Over Thailand," domestic flights in the Land of Smiles are discounted by 300 baht.

Six airlines joined the programme to provide savings of 300 baht on 500,000 tickets on flights departing before the end of the year. Before October 10, get 300 Baht off any flight departing between November 1 and December 31, 2022. Each reservation is eligible for a discount of 300 baht.

Bangkok Airways, Thai AirAsia, Thai Smile, Nok Air, Thai Lion Air, and Thai VietJet are among the participating carriers.

Yesterday, TAT Governor Yuthasak Supasorn announced the offer. He said…

"Over the last three years, the COVID-19 epidemic has continually impacted the aviation industry. Numerous domestic flights were grounded as a result of airline shutdowns. The epidemic affected the aviation industry's economic stability and employment."

Yuthasak said that the special offer would assist the TAT in achieving its objective of 1.5 trillion baht in tourist revenue for Thailand by the end of the year. According to the TAT, the aim is simply to capture 50% of the income earned by the tourist business in Thailand in 2019 prior to the outbreak.

The Governor of the TAT noted that Thailand's aviation industry is rebounding well from the epidemic and is on the right track. He said that the elimination of the Thailand Pass was a significant element in promoting air travel among both Thais and foreigners.
