Bangkok to Fukuoka flights from Air Asia starting October

AirAsia will provide direct flights between Bangkok (Don Mueang) and Fukuoka, the biggest city on the Japanese island of Kyushu, for the first time on October 12.

Starting from October 12th  the flights will operate three times per week (Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday), then on 30th October there will be four flights per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday) . All the flights will be flown by a 236-seat Airbus A321 aircraft.

The flight schedule will be as follows:

From 12th October 2022: Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays:

  • FD736 – DMK-FUK – leaving 1:20am, arriving 8:50am
  • FD737 – FUK-DMK – departure 9:50am, arriving 1:15pm


From 30th October 2022: Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays:

  • FD736 – DMK-FUK: departs 1:35am, arrives 8:55am
  • FD737 - FUK-DMK: departs 10:00 am, arrives 2:00pm

AirAsia is introducing this new route with discounted tickets starting at 4,888 THB  for BIG members and 4,928 THB for non-members.

The savings are available until August 28, 2022, for travel between October 12th 2022, and March 23rd 2023. During this promotional time, passengers who pre-book 20kg of checked luggage using the AirAsia Super App will get an extra 30kg for free.

"Recognizing this opportunity, AirAsia Thailand introduced Fukuoka as its first destination in Japan, offering travellers a unique perspective on the country through a city known for its friendliness and affordability."

"Fukuoka may not be the first city that springs to mind when considering a trip to Japan, but everyone who visits will be profoundly impressed." Santisuk said, "Our flights to the city will begin just as the weather starts to chill and the sakura blossoms, a favourite time for Thais to celebrate the end of the year."
