Koh Sami Flights Resume

Air and sea access to and from Koh Samui will resume again, with the backlog of stranded passengers due to be cleared by the morning (Friday 1st April).

On Monday and Tuesday 90 flights had to be cancelled due to the heavy rain and strong winds, leaving over 2000 passengers stranded on the island. Flights began again yesterday including an extra 6 flights to and from Bangkok in order to take the extra capacity.

Thai Airways has also resumed flights and also added and extra one.

As long as the weather holds out, both airlines are expected to resume normal operations today.

Air services at Surat Thani airport have also resumed.
