Travelers between the ancient capital and its neighboring cities and towns will soon have easy access with the opening of more routes by Kan Air.

On August 15, Kan Air will commence its regular direct service between Chiang Mai and Hua Hin and Ubon Ratchathani.

The twin routes from Chiang Mai will be serviced by a six-seat Hawker Beechcraft Premier 1 private jet. The Chiang Mai-Ubon Ratchathani route will be a twice-weekly service operating every Friday and Sunday. The Chiang Mai-Hua Hin route, meanwhile, will also be a twice-weekly affair, on similar days.

Ubon Ratchathani is the administrative capital of the northeastern province of the same name. The province, in turn, is located in the Isan, the largest region in Thailand. Ubon is best known for its Candle Festival, which draws thousands of tourists annually.

Hua Hin is a resort town located in the Prachuap Khiri Khan Province in Malay Peninsula. It is noted for each world-class beach resorts, as well as national parks and historical sites.

The airline is holding a promotional ticket sale for the twin inaugural services for as low as THB2,990 one-way fare, inclusive of airport tax and fees.

Kan Air currently operates from its main hub at Chiang Mai International Airport. It flies to mostly domestic destinations across the northern region of the country, including Mae Hong Son, Pai, Nan, Khon Kaen, and Phitsanulok.

It keeps a fleet of two small aircraft, a Hawker Beechcraft Premier 1 and a Cessna Grand Caravan C208B.
