Bangkok Airways has scored another accolade, this time, for its flight attendants' fashionable uniform, as one of the best airline uniforms in the world.
Recently, Conde Nast Traveler Magazine acknowledged Bangkok Airways' uniform as one of the "Seven Flight Attendant Uniforms That Make Fashion Statement".
The uniform, worn by its female flight attendants, sports different shades of blue hue which stands out. He said that the new uniform is very feminine and quite easy to the eyes for its fresh look and modern design. He acknowledged Bangkok Airways for its new uniform that really looks great. The acknowledgment is compiled by a renowned critic-cum-blogger, Mr. Cliff Muskiet, who operates his own website, uniformfreak.com. The site is a treasure trove of 1134 flight attendant uniforms from 443 airlines around the world, cataloged neatly alphabetically.
The Vice President for Corporate Communications of Bangkok Airways, M.L. Nandhika Varavarn, was elated, saying the airline is happy and proud that its flight attendant' new uniform was judged as one of the world's most outstanding by the world's most prestigious travel magazine. The striking blue-hued ASAVA-brand uniform was designed by Mr. Polpat Asavaprapha, currently Thailand's top fashion designer. The airline introduced the new uniform in May 2012 and it quickly drew positive feedback especially from fashion gurus as well as from passengers who praised it as very colorful, modern and practical. The blue hue represents the airline's corporate color.
Mr. Polpat Asavaprapha stated that he chose the blue color in stripes pattern to match the livery of its aircraft to represent sky and the ocean. He also revealed that the choice of fabric, a silk-poly, was carefully thought of to give the wearer a feeling of utmost comfort for its being light. The new uniform comes in a pattern of skirt and trousers mixture, giving it a distinguishing look to suggest an informal and flexible attire.
