Peak season is about to kick in and Thailand's air carriers are taking every opportunity to level up ticket sales. Official flag carrier Thai Airways International (THAI) is already campaigning for its Hong Kong and Singapore flight destinations. Meanwhile, budget carriers including AirAsia and Nok Air are actively pursuing travelers to sample their special travel packages.
Almost a month ago, Bangkok suffered a major blow when its Erawan Shrine became the target of a bomb attack, leaving a hundred people injured and twenty more killed. Most of the victims were visitors from other countries.
Clients' appetite for travel was dampened by the recent incident thus, airlines are out to regain brisk business by rolling out special travel deals.
THAI's VP for sales, Wiwat Piyawiroj disclosed that the official flag carrier has recently launched a promo where travelers can purchase tickets for as low as 7,885 baht for a Bangkok-Hong Kong flight package. Fares for Bangkok-Singapore flights can be purchased at a minimum of 7,600 baht.
The above deals apply to flight schedules anytime now until December 19, 2015 for a minimum of two passengers per flight booking.
The promo runs for two weeks only and is exclusive for economy class round trip tickets. Ticket prices include taxes and other charges. Upgrades, and refunds will not be entertained for purchases falling under this promo.
Meanwhile, Nok Air introduced its newest Bangkok-Hanoi international flight route during an event held in Vietnam. Nok Air is a budget airline and an affiliate of THAI.
The Bangkok-Hanoi international route is Nok Air's second. Its first international flight destination was towards Ho Chi Minh. While both flight routes were launched this year, the Bangkok-Hanoi route has yet to commence on December 1, 2015.
Nok Air will be using its 189-seater Boeing 737-800 for the flights to Hanoi, Vietnam four times in a week. Flights booked until September 20, 2015 may be availed at an introductory price of 999 baht.
AirAsia on the other hand is reviving its zero base fare promo involving Thai AirAsia local flights with Bangkok as take-off point.
