The Airports of Thailand (AOT) officially opened the bidding for the operations and management of duty-free shops at the Don Muang International Airport in Bangkok.

The bidding documents were released on Monday, January 20, and will be available for purchase for 1 million baht until January 31.

AOT said that details of the concession will be divulged on February 4 prior to a tour of the facilities.

Meanwhile, submissions for the concessions are set on March 13, from 9 am to 11 am, while presentations are scheduled on March 16. The winning bidder will be named on March 17.

According to the AOT, the new operator will have a concession of 10 years beginning October 1, 2022, until December 2032.

Retail giant King Power International has earlier secured the approval of the government to join the auction.
