Thai AirAsia Add Bangkok to Trang Service

Mid January will see the Thai AirAsia introduce a new route from Bangkok to Trang.

Rival low cost carriers Orient Thai and Nok have been flying this route for some time, but this will be AirAsia's 11th airport destination within Thailand.

Santisuk Klongchaiya, Cmmercial Director for Thai AirAsia commented: "We opened travel hubs in Phuket and Chiang Mai. After the success of connecting Thailand's northern and southern regions via our main hubs, we are now able to focus on bringing newer routes into the picture to strengthen our existing connectivity."

In order to welcome new passengers to the service, the airline is offering a one-way promotional fare as low as 690 baht per passenger from Dec 1-7 for travel Jan 15 to June 30.

Nok Air charge a one-way fare of around 1,500 baht while Orient Thai charge about 2,000 baht.

Flights will depart Bangkok at 9.20am and arrive in Trang at 10.40am. The return flight leaves Trang at 11.25am and arrives in Bangkok at 12.45pm.
