Qatar Airways has announced that it will be adding 6 new routes to its network, including more flights to Thailand.
Daily flights to Phuket will commence on October 11th.
Phuket is the first of the new destinations to be added to the network, with the other five services to be rolled out over the following four months.
In addition to Phuket, Qatar Airways will also offer new flights to Hanoi, Nice, Bucharest, Budapest and Brussels.
"These destinations represent markets underserved so these are excellent opportunities for us to tap into", explained Akbar Al Baker, the company's chief executive officer.
Last month, the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2010 saw Qatar Airways placed among the top 3 carriers in the world.
Qatar also picked up the prize for the world's best business class service and the staff service excellence award for the Middle East.
