Thai Eastar Jet

Thai Eastar Jet Co. Ltd. is a start-up carrier based in Thailand that was founded in January 2019. It is a joint venture company between Korean low-cost carrier Eastar Jet and its Thai partners and is one of the two new airlines that will serve Thailand.

Thai Eastar Jet is slated to launch its first flight on January 20, 2020 using the Boeing 737-800 aircraft for its Bangkok-Male route. It will also launch charter flights between Bangkok and Kaohsiung in Taiwan, and expand to South Korean destinations.

The airline is set to receive in January 2020 the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand’s (CAAT) air operator certificate that will allow it to proceed with its business.

Planes

Thai Eastar Jet will commence with its business with one aircraft: Boeing 737-800 that is capable to carry up to 189 passengers if using the one-class layout and 162 passengers using the two-class layout. It is the stretched version of the 737-700 and is the replacement of the 737-400 model.

Destinations

Thai Eastar Jet is set to fly from Bangkok to Male, Maldives (regular) and Kaohsiung, Taiwan (charter) next year. It also plans to expand in South Korea.
