Bangkok Airways, AXA Partner for New Travel Insurance

Bangkok Airways is partnering with AXA Thailand to offer a new travel insurance product to the airline’s passengers.

Insurance Business Mag reported on Tuesday that the carrier joined forces with AXA to introduce the “Protective Wing” insurance plan which will be catered to domestic and international passengers.

Under the policy, passengers may avail of both outpatient and inpatient coverages through AXA Thailand without needing to make advance payments for medical expenses. The policy will be available at 39,000 hospitals in Thailand.

In addition, passengers will have the option to fully refund flight payments in case of cancellations and can be paid as much as 20,000 baht for any loss or damage to baggage and personal belongings, including sports and musical equipment.

“This new partnership with AXA Insurance will not only help enhance the traveling experience of Bangkok Airways’ passengers but also help accommodate our passengers to purchase this travel insurance with ease,” said Bangkok Airways Vice President Chulin Kocharoen. “Passengers can purchase ‘Protective Wing’ travel insurance while they process their booking or purchase it after booking their flights on our website,” he added.
